Spicy Garlic Pork Belly Stir-Fry

On rainy days, there's something incredibly satisfying about sizzling food. This recipe for Spicy Garlic Pork Belly Stir-Fry brings together the crispy deliciousness of pork belly with a simple, spicy garlic sauce. It's an ideal meal, especially when you're craving something warm and comforting.

Ingredients:

  • Pork belly, 2 strips (our 1/4 Inch Cut Premium Pork Belly works well)
  • Red chili pepper, 2
  • Cheongyang chili pepper, 2 (can be substituted with Bird's Eye Chili/Thai Chili)
  • Onion, 1/4
  • Green onions, 2 stalks
  • Minced garlic, 1 spoon
  • Minced ginger, 1/2 spoon
  • Cooking oil, as needed

Sauce

  • Soy sauce, 3 spoons 
  • Vinegar, 2 spoons 
  • Water, 2 spoons 
  • Sugar, 1 spoon 
  • Pepper, a pinch

Instructions:

  1. Mix the sauce
  2. Finely chop the onion and slice the red chili peppers and Cheongyang chili peppers, and green onions.
  3. Cut the pork belly into small pieces.
  4. Cook the pork belly pieces in a pan until golden brown. Alternatively, you can cook them in an air fryer at 180°C for 10 minutes.
  5. Remove the pork belly from the pan. Add and sauté the minced garlic and ginger for a minute.
  6. Add the sauce, chopped onion, and sliced chili peppers.
  7. Once the sauce starts to simmer, add the fried pork belly and stir-fry.
  8. Serve over bed of rice and garnish with chopped green onions.

  • The spicy garlic sauce brings a delightful kick to the dish, perfectly complementing the crispy pork belly.
  • Adjust the amount of chili peppers based on your preferred spice level.
