Flavor Profile
Jeyuk Bokkeum offers a robust combination of spicy, sweet, and savory flavors. The marinade, prepared with gochujang (Korean red chili paste), ginger, and garlic, gives the pork slices a rich, layered taste. This exciting mix of flavors, with its distinct spicy kick, epitomizes the vibrant spice profile beloved in Korean cuisine.
Cooking
Heat up a large nonstick pan or wok on high heat. Add Jeyuk Bokkeum to the pan. It is fine if the meat overlaps; it will cook in its own marinade, which makes this dish almost fail-proof. Stir and cook for 7 minutes until pork is cooked thoroughly and no longer pink.
Optional: Mix in vegetables like sliced onions, sliced cabbage, or chopped green onions while cooking the beef.
This seemed like a lot more than 1 lb - it fed 4 adults...not complaining!
The spicy sweet salty marinade is very addictive.
Pretty good, slightly on the spicy side for us.
Delicious and nice portion.
This is a great dish to have in the winter. Enjoyed it very much with rice and salad on the side.
